Whittaker Creek Yacht Owners Association, Inc., is a nonprofit organization consisting of 82 slip owners each with an equal undivided interest in the association property, which includes docks with boat slips on the east and west forks of Whittaker Creek, as well as the clubhouse and pool. The address is 414 Whittaker Point Road, Oriental, NC 28571.

WCYOA is not affiliated with the adjoining Whittaker Creek Yacht Harbor and Marine Service, which is a privately owned marina and boatyard. WCYOA has deeded access to the parking lot and common areas, which are shared with Whittaker Creek Yacht Harbor. The docks at the southernmost point of the property, as well as several slips on the north end of the property along the shoreline, are owned by Whittaker Creek Yacht Harbor, and are available for transient dockage. WCYOA does not provide transient dockage.

WCYOA is managed by a President and Board of Directors, who are elected by vote of the membership. The Board assesses membership dues from slip owners for the operation of the association, including the maintenance and upkeep of the docks, clubhouse and pool. The Board holds an annual Membership meeting every November, in accordance with the Association's By-laws.
